Northern California has winters just as harsh as the northeast. San Francisco sometimes goes below freezing at night in the summer and the daytime especially morning is regularly 50 or below. Only Southern California is hospitable, and even the summer nights are much colder than nyc summers. Literally NYC has better weather for 3 seasons out of the year for the homeless than LA.

What's most noticeable to me, looking at the CDC statistics, is that 1) It's literally just old people dying, and 2) the VAST MAJORITY of people that get the virus don't even require hospitalization. 45 and under it's like less than 1% that require hospitalization. It's literally a nothing-burger for 45 and under. Fucking insanity to force the 45 and under crowd out of their jobs and ruin their livelihoods to protect such a minuscule part of our population when quarantining those select vulnerable crowd would work EVEN BETTER and not ruin everyone's lives.
