I used to pay for prostitutes until one day I started feeling disgusted at myself for doing this. I've been on the path of self improvement for a while but still no friends.

I am in a different country now, and I've always had severe social anxiety + got bullied by a fag in college so ended up with no college friends by the end.

social anxiety has personally made me switch between 3 schools in 4 years. I literally say you should just put yourself out there. you actuallly have nothing to lose, so why not??

Friends are the people who genuinely cherish your existence, user.

They can be in the form of parents, siblings, etc. hell, they can be someone you don't even know like those guys giving aide and free things to starving people in a country in civil war. You can also be your own friend if you treat yourself right.

Point is, there is always someone caring about you in any point in space and time. I'll make sure of it :)

i don't know what to do now. i have real estate but i think i will sell it. the property tax + maintenance burden + insurance + HOA fees + lack of liquidity in my "investment" outweigh any other benefit.

The road is long and a it's a lonely existence. But at the end of the day , you will meet others who will join you upon your journeys and they might stay , and some might go , but what really matters is the experiences and companionship and friendship is such a significant part of humanity that i think that we have become disconnected to the point of being unable to effectively communicate with one another.
At the end of the day , the people you seek , have the same interests as you. Go out and do shit and you'll find others who may be interested in what you are about. You just gotta say hello. Thats the first step. And that begins a potential blossoming relationship or just whatever. This quarantine is such bad timing as well with everything going on. But head up. Realize that there is another person out there who would trade positions with you in a heartbeat. Be grateful and go out there and create new connections.
