<6 hours to go user, are you prepared?

Im not
what is that
It's a nothing burger.
I've got 150 dollars in BTC from website sales, I normally transfer it out to my $. Should I wait?
what happened to this place
Bruh It's the halvening.
I've been here before you crypto mongs came along. Back when we discussed how to make real, passive money online
Has BTC ever pumped with a halving?
oh noes my drop shipping threads
I'll be asleep. I expect bobos and bulls when I wake up.
yes both times
I have a pretty small portfolio around 1k and I'm basically just using this to make up for my losses in some ETFs and then dump BTC and then be up a bit once the economy inevitably recovers in a couple months. Long term USD inflation is grim, but USD is so widely used in the world it can't just disappear.
Keep in mind that’s the weekly chart, btc dumped for 2 months following the halving there.
I made a real post and got 1 reply
This place is dead
*The 2nd halving
What said, that's a long time after the halving, no reason to think it will suddenly pump on halving day this time.
True. I'm only looking to hold for a month or so. I refuse to sell at a loss though. If I lose like 50% I'll probably just buy more. BTC imo will probably just stabilize around 9k if it never really pumps hard or dumps too bad again.
Past is irrelevant.
That time there was no Tether and no Binance casino. Completely different world.
that's pretty much why I bought a bunch of Bitcoin. whether or not this halvening drives the price up or not, i don't care. either way I'd be happy, because if there's a price drop I'll just buy more. what I'm really worried about is the amount of quantitative easing basically every western nation is taking part in around the world. now's the time to buy as many assets as you can while your money is still worth anything
How do those affect BTC?
I feel the same way, even with Bitcoin or other crypto fluctuating wildly, it'll still be a pretty good store of value compared to USD in 10 years. USD is going to inflate so hard. I'm really getting sick of all the satanic socialism in the US.
>USD is going to inflate so hard
yup, not just USD either. the great thing about Bitcoin too is how liquid it is. it can be your ticket out of a country if things get really fucked up, which is what i'm unironically worried about
>le old fag is mad
Good point. I could see crypto and maybe some exchange services making many popular cryptos accepted at most retailers. This could seriously help bring some shitty countries out of poverty and allow them to start engaging in trade with rich westerners looking for a better more free place to live. The tyranny demonstrated over the last couple months would have the founding fathers rolling in their graves. I don't think all of this will happen soon, and I am anti-globalization, but if some African country gets its shit together, why not live there?
BTC nowadays has been reduced to a shitcoin to be "traded" for Tether memedollar on Binance and other casinos.
All the volume is BTC/USDT pair which set the prices.
BTC has no other use, meaning or prospects.
I somewhat agree, it does mean though that BTC is a valuable entry-point to engage in crypto trading. I think me and many other investors view it as a vanilla crypto that gets used a lot. I don't think it will change the world on its own, but being an exchange mechanism for other coins makes it extremely valuable.
crypto traders aren’t investors
>An investor is a person that allocates capital with the expectation of a future financial return or to gain an advantage.
I’m pretty sure there was tether, I remember not wanting to use it because apparently it was a scam.
Plus why would you give a damn about a crypto backed by USD. Just fucking get USD? Lol
Don't shit your pants you lil bish
I'll try
The only difference between investing and speculating is time. Don't be a jerk.
The problem back then was no other way to get out of crypto, I don’t think Coinbase had a usd wallet so you were either in crypto or not. Tether gave you the option of getting out of btc but keeping your money on the exchange so you could trade it.
oh I see. Good idea, but seems useless now.
False. Zig Forums was intended as a crypto containment board. Lurk moar
Did he find Satoshi, Zig Forums?
youtube.com
Imagine larping about frequenting an Algerian goat milking forum for longer than someone else.
>entry-point
The entry-point is Tether, obviously.
there's no point, Bitcoin has enough positive features that it's perfectly valuable on its own. it's a bit like Gold in a way. having an asset that verifies it's own value almost, idk hard to describe
I agree
