Old thread

what kind of retard buys a rock for thousands of dollars. it's like thinking beads have value

basil 3, sweetie

Okay boys here we go:

I want to maintain about 5 percent of my portfolio in PM. I currently contribute about 2k a month to investments. Ideally I would like to have the PM as a hedge against inflation, plus shiny rock good look at

1.) Would it be more effective to buy generic rounds vs real coins like silver eagles and libertads?
2.) If I were to buy coins like silver eagles, in the future when I sell them would I be able to recoup my premium cost or would they just get bought for spot price?
3.) Is there any real reason to buy coins vs bars and generic rounds? Is it speculation on collectability or what? Should I just stack as much weight as possible for my dollar?
4.) What exchanges have the best prices and is it worth looking in pawn shops/gold and silver dealers or will they just jew me out of my money?
5.) Are there any reputable dealers on ebay or is it just better to steer clear?

Asking again for new thread but lots of good replies last thread.

I have $4,000 free and clear to be used. What amount of gold and silver should I buy? I already have 245oz silver. Thats it.

I want gold but silver has a lot more growth potential and I can always convert to gold when the ratio of gold/silver is favorable. Or maybe it would be prudent to get some now since gold will grow anyway, many have said it will grow first before silver.

What form of gold and silver too. I have mostly ASE's and the rest in bat memes. Gold coins, bars, fractional, old world? More ASEs despite the price or generic rounds and bars?

SILVER IS MOONING CHADS OOOOOOOOOo

wow its almost as if gold is used in nearly every consumer electronic device used today woaahh

wheres this new big gold find

Once it hits fifty dollars again you're going to see some serious shit.

Filthy

You're going to get a thousand different answers on these. Everyone has opinions. Go check out some youtube videos for some perspective. Can't go wrong with APMEX or JMBullion and American Silver / Gold eagles. KISS - Keep it simple stupid. PM is a deep topic and everyone has strategies.

Check out this video and the other videos from this channel - very good.

youtube.com/watch?v=jBVTjToFpDY

based

Can't go wrong with 100:1 ratio. For gold I like 1 ducats because of low price point + reasonably low premium. Might get a rando bar or 2 if prices don't drop. For silver I like cheap 1 oz gov coins (like philharmonics or brittanias) with some batbois & ASEs sprinkled on top.

>Once it hits fifty dollars again you're going to see some serious shit.
What will we see

zoom out

Just buy gold then.

Should I just pay with card or do the echeck/wire option? I know you get it slightly cheaper for using a check but is the difference really substantial enough for the 1 week wait for it to clear?

Dave Ramsey trashes silver.

youtube.com/watch?v=QoAQABgudVs

jmbullion only has austrian restrikes or netherland random condition for a few more dollars. Why are the restrikes cheaper?

How can I buy physical silver?

just do the echeck

Think of some totally mundane everyday shit. It will be the opposite of that.

Attached: gold.png (989x511, 90.44K)

which one? There have been at least 3 big new discoveries around the world since last year.

That is totally up to you. I always use paypal.

I even send a paper check sometimes. Have patience, you will get it before you know it

Who cares. Ramsey is giving broad personal finance advice to appeal to the masses. Silver is not a good idea for people that can't control their spending and are struggling paycheck to paycheck. First step is always to get out of debt before trying to invest. If you are broke as fuck and are buying silver thinking it is going to make you a millionaire one day you are as delusional as the shitcoin cucks on 90% of the threads on this board.

IDK. Maybe people like knowing what year the coin was actually minted. Maybe the Dutch ducats are less common.

Restrikes are cheaper because they aren't very collectable or historically significant coins so only worth spot price.

the Netherland ducats are back in stock

There's a chart that's been floating around here past few weeks, that shows in comparison to Palladium how undervalued platinum is. Split between gold/plat is worth considering.

These are really fucking tempting

Attached: 235`176434.jpg (631x600, 83.83K)

I buy Sibanye Stillwater for platinum/palladium exposure. They are the largest platinum miner in the world and also mine gold and rhodium. Plat buy/sell spread is too high, for me personally. It's not like gold - the market is much thinner so finding someone to buy a platinum coin often means taking a much bigger hit.

So maybe 1oz gold 2oz plat, I did think about plat. Some user was talking about it a lot not too long ago

What an actual retard lmao.
>If you had 14k today (during a worldwide epidemic) would you buy silver coins with that $14,000?
>"No."
>Well there you go. That makes the decision so easy.
>Listen ma'am, what youre experience is the sunk cost fallacy. What youre doing is gambling and youve got a losing hand. Just ignore the fed printing trillions. Just ignore the gold silver ratio. Just think of your silver like a boat. Get rid of it. Trade it in today. Go get assfucked by a coin/pawn shop and get cash which will be devalued every second of every day going forward.

Imagine buying numbers /lines on a screen and calling them "bags". Imagine thinking they have a store of wealth

Look in the OP

Echeck or check or billpay. Billpay = tell your bank to send a check to the business. My bank takes ~5 business days to ship a check and I've ordered from multiple vendors this way with no issues.

Dave Ramsey is an idiot.

Debt is amazing and a very good thing if used smartly.

Most of my wealth is from and in leveraged real estate.

I have 3.8 million in mortgages and I am not even a little bit worried about it.

Inflate away fed...

Gold for sure, preferably 2oz, but I recommend the lowest premiums you can get.

Use the rest to pick up some platinum if you're feeling bullish since you've already passed 2oz * G:SR.
