Visa has filed a patent for a stablecoin. It is well known that one method for creating stablecoins uses oracles to peg the value of the stablecoin to an asset. This patent filing refers to “pegging” the price, and it refers to smart contracts. Ripple has nothing to do with smart contracts nor stablecoins.
