What am I looking at here, OP?
INTEL??? LOL MORE LIKE INCEL!!!!
LINKIES ETERNALLY BTFO AND WILL NEVER FEEL A VAGINA EVER!!!
Its definitely not a patent search showing how multinationals have been carving out space in the smart contract ecosystem via chainlink
That I can tell you for sure
Now plz delet ty op
Is this references to Chainlink in patents.google.com? Just had a look myself and it unironically looks like they have nothing to do with chainlink.
El oh el !!!
You got burned delete you account!
this post is making me sleepy... lets just all go to bed guys...
Unfortunately you can't argue that many of these have anything to do with chainlink specifically just because they mention smart contracts.
Not saying it is not possible, just saying it is not verified. Many of these predate the release of chainlink's ICO and whitepaper.
Oh wow you are certainly smart
Before link there was probably another centralized company that did this stuff that is totally unrelated to chainlink until they rebranded
Yep, you got the best of me on that one
I am aware of smartcontract.com. I'm just being as objective as possible. There is a reasonable probability that many of these patents are not related to chainlink and may be completely dead end endeavors.
After three years of chainlink, I choose not to get interested or excited about even most things that ARE confirmed because they no longer lead to price action.
My fantasies of becoming a multimillionaire off of link have disappeared over the past few months. I hope i can somehow make it to $1M with my 40k stack.
Me too i sold my chainlink for smartcontract tokens a while back!
Just because a company files a patent having to do with smart contracts doesn't mean it has anything to do with Chainlink or will make chainlink holders wealthier. Do you know how many patents are filed every year that amount to nothing?
The truth is, there isn't a tremendous amount of value or utility in the Chainlink network right now. There is potential, but we are also in the middle of a global mental health crisis that is causing major economic issues.
A fair part of my consciousness is occupied by the fear that Bitcoin is going to dump the market to shit again very soon.
yo, post the sauce
yeah, but most of the references to "chainlink" don't actually mean the cryptocurrency chainlink. Just look at these:
patents.google.com
They are obviously using the term to mean something else.
Show me ONE patent that is actually chainlink, as in LINK....
I agree with you. But you have to admit, the result here does look interesting...
Even if this amounts to nothing - like user above has said, many patents amount to nothing - what is described in this patent filing is 100% referring chainlink. There is no doubt in my mind.
We know Sergey is very good at networking. Clearly whoever wrote this patent filing had knowledge of chainlink's architecture. Things are happening behind closed doors, there is no doubt in my mind, that Sergey and this Visa patent are connected.
Again, this doesn't mean anything will come to fruition. But it does mean that those working on these developments are working in collaboration with Sergey and the team. I'm sure of it.
Based reasonable user
If anyone is interested in breadcrumb hunting, here's somewhere to start.
>patents.google.com
Actually a pretty good observation. None of these are pertaining to oracles and smart contracts :/
Good point. And everyone knows Visa's logo (along with other banks and money movers) has been on the website for years.
See

The guys listed on this patent filing are
Terry Angelos
Cuy SHEFFIELD
Anirudh MALKANI
Anthony SHANLEY
Check their Twitter account and see if they've liked, followed or retweeted anything to do with Chianlink.
I don't have time right now, but any breadcrumb hunters, please take a look. I'm 100% convinced the language in this visa patent filing relates to chainlink, at the very least, they've spoken with Sergey and understand that chainlink is the best oracle, and understand how it works.
All the logos on Sergey's slides, chainlink and smartcintract website, are there because there is a "working relationship" with those companies.
Have you ever filed for a patent before?
If a patent attorney included one use case when you could include all possible use cases without infringing on prior art you need to find a new patent attorney
Interesting stuff.
Is there a way you could explain this utility a bit more in laymans?
If they've engaged with Chainlink via social media...all it shows is that they are aware of Chainlink. Clearly if they are using "decentralized oracles," we can reasonably assume they've googled "decentralized oracles" and have stumbled across Chainlink which is the third result.
What else are you trying to prove by seeing if they've engaged with Chainlink on social media?
>What else are you trying to prove by seeing if they've engaged with Chainlink on social media?
Not trying to prove anything: it's just a good place to start with breadcrumbs etc.
The Visa patent application actually sites another filing by Digital Asset, as in, Blythe Masters. IIRC, Digital Asset & chainlink/towncrier had some serious connections, no?
warosu.org
Something we've known since early 2018.
>cryptlet proofing systems
Linklets btfo
I'm genuinely not fudding, but there has literally never been any connection between Blythe Masters and Chainlink. The "connection" was started based off of a stupid meme of Dan Kochis massaging a girl's feet in a photograph where the girl is covering her face. Someone made a stupid meme that the girl is Blythe Masters and ever since people have said that she is connected to Chainlink.
I've searched pretty diligently trying to make the connection and it doesn't exist as far as I can find.
Dude, they're talking about decentralised oracles. You think they're referring to Mobius?
You may be onto something there.
Alibaba (Alipay) have filed a patent which directly references TownCrier, the TEE acquired by Chainlink.
Also, Masters and Sergey were both at Sibos in 2016 or 2017 if I'm not mistaken.
I think there are some stronger things to "suggest" some interaction betwen Digital Asset and people with Chainlink, but I have never been able to find out why people associate Blythe Masters so strongly with Chainlink (besides memes)
You can't even find a toilet, Pajeet.
Again, I am just being objective and not falling victim to constant chainlink confirmation bias. TEEs are a technology used by lots of large companies, including Apple, Intel, Microsoft, etc. Just because Towncrier/chainlink mentioned utilizing TEEs for cryptography and it was the first time you heard of them doesn't mean they created them, were the first to use them, nor are they the only group that uses them.
It's like saying "facial recognition technology" and automatically assuming they're referring to snapchat when there are thousands of groups using that technology.
