I think Monero is a good project but I don't think you will make much money trading it because it follows Bitcoin so closely. I bought XMR in 2017 and held to 2020 but sold after I found out that privacy is being built on top of Ethereum with projects like zkDAI and 0xMR.

If your project is a one trick pony that can only do one thing, like privacy, I don't think it's going to be able to complete with Bitcoin for a store of value, XRP for a medium of exchange, or Ethereum with it's smart contracts and DEFI.

0xMR is building privacy on Ethereum, it's mineable and a private contract with swap is planned. Aside from that, you can wait for zk wrappers for Ethereum, which should come online soon. Dero is Asic mined, pirate is a token on Komodo I believe.

don't listen to all those degenerate Ghost shills and other pajeets... Monero is one of the most solid projects out there. Privacy will become more and more important, you can see the beginning of gov. to get rid of the old fashioned cash just to collect more data and make you even more of glass human.
Monero is also one of the best decentralized coins out there with a ton of developers.
I don't even think people who are saying that privacy alone is not enough even understand what they are talking about. Monero is private by nature and not by default, which is one of the biggest weaknesses of all the other so called "Privacy coins"... Do one thing and do it right..
I will always bet on moneero instead of all the other privacy projects
