I want to start a business but have no idea where to begin
>1. go on amazon
>2. search for "kneepads"
>3. buy the one with the best rating
>4. await delivery
>5. ???
>6. profit
am I on the wrong board?
No. You just have to give the anons here more to work with. What kind of business do you want to start
I dont know.
Ok... so what do you expect us to do about that? You’re being unreasonable
doesn't everyone want a succesfull bussiness? Obviously, what's the golden idea is the real question.
>do you have skills?
>do you have capital to invest?
one or both
I have capital and some skills but don't know what kind of product I could sell?
Pick a very clever name and build a business around it. That’s what I do.
Just give me money.
ok post your adres
I was thinking about going through flea markets and buy antiques from clueless boomers and resell to collectors on eBay but Im too brainlet to have an eye for historical pieces and art.
I know there are sets of dishes that grannies get rid of that are actually rare brands sought after by collectors but I can't tell which
How?
Thats what I need help with.
I have 30k but im not really good at anything at all
Many many many other people do this who actually DO know what to buy and resell. I'd look for ventures elsewhere if you do not have any of the knowledge to start with.
sorry to hijack you thread OP but I made a thread 6 hours ago but only have retards user entering..
I already built my mvp.. how do I get my first customers? can I just use google forms to ask for email and feedback (how can we improve, is our service helpful to you, etc.)? how to really test whether they are willing to pay for my product?
Buy a pool. Grow shrimp in it. Sell the shrimp
What state do you live in?
You need to figure out what will make people want to give you their money!
Start a dick sucking business op, door to door.
>go on alibaba
>find some clothes that look decent or some other fucking product that you think many actual, real people demand
>check jewbay or amazon that there aren't a trillion other people selling that product
>order the items from alibaba, should be super cheap as it's wholesale
>slap a markup on the bullshit you've bought and sell it
Just don't buy twatty trending stuff as they aren't sustainable (eg fidget spinners) and make sure your costs aren't higher than your fucking revenue.
You have to provide a good or service that the marketplace currently lacks, but seeing as you have no idea what to do, you have to take an existing idea and provide it in a place where the average consumer has limited access to whatever the good/service you're providing is. In short, sounds like you want to open a franchise. Pretty easy as everything is already laid out for you, you just have to fork over the money to do it.
hijacking thread because OP is a fag
I have a solid business plan. It will require some woodworking. Once I create some product, what’s the best initial step to start advertising? Make a website?
What is your product?
Advertising seems like a meme these days, just have a decent social media following. A website seems like a good start I suppose.
Wisconsin
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Is it literally this easy?
Find old successful Bakery owner and learn to takeover the business.
it doesn't matter how you start because you're probably going to make enough mistakes starting out that if you had the perfect plan/idea, it would just be wasted.
So start anywhere.
Also, you need to know some really basic accounting (or whatever these are:)
variable & fixed costs
breakeven analysis
cash flow
here's a free idea, too. If there are any events in your area coming up where there's a lot of people walking around in the heat, you can go to the warehouse store and buy a bunch of small bottled waters and then go sell them to hot thirsty people for a markup. This type of thing is a good hands-on way of getting XP.
(also, for every idea you come up there will be normies telling you why it won't work or it's not allowed. Laugh at them. Do your idea anyway.)
what?
