is tdameritrade / thinkorswim considered the best platform? i want to move my assets from robinhood but im concerned about not being able to trade for 3 days or so while the transfer goes through. is that a legit concern or do accounts transfer faster these days?

So everyone knows oil is going to tank tomorrow, just not by how much. I still think it's going to minus again. The question is, is the market going to bag hold over the night?
I just upgraded my account and it took like 1 day Dont worry, user. Just enjoy 2 days of not caring about the market.

If I am doing an ACATS Transfer from one brokerage to another, do I keep gains/losses that occur during the transfer (5-8 business days).
In other words... >own 10 shares at $100 in Brokerage A ($1000 value) >start 5 day transfer to Brokerage B, during which everything is locked up and untransferable >during these 5 days, share price hits $150 >do I get $1500 worth of stock in Brokerage B at the end of the transfer period?
June contacts change Tuesday btw. A simple search would show that, yet people keep saying it happened because investing.com

No. The dollar is in the eyes of the world the safest currency there is. Its backed by the biggest economy in the world and its power. The moment the dollar goes bust I have bigger concerns than my money.
I also have gold and non-US funds though obviously.
>So everyone knows oil is going to tank tomorrow I think it'll dip but saying oil will tank is just excessive. Dozens of factories are reopening this month, crude oil demand hasn't been this low since April.
What divvy's are you picking up now? I have $4k to invest. TD looks great and is a well managed company, although the Canadian Govt takes 15% tax off the top even in American investments.
Holy moly, I really should have bought more of that

This, even in the case of a massive US crash since US currency is tied to so many other countries economies its still likely that the US gets out less damaged than the countries that rely on US dollar, thats even ignoring that as a worldwide stable currency its used almost always in oil transactions even between two non-US states.
