After new ASIC is developed an altcoin (one that never has had ASIC miners before), the coin plummets in price and eventually rebounds.

I'd wait for it to plummet first and pick it up. Probably around June or July which is the estimated ETA for the first batch.

I mean it happens every time. Most recent example is CKB. As soon as the first wave of ASIC came out for it, the coin dropped by 300%. Its only since then rebounding.
