I sold 90% at 560 - I will buy in again sub 100.
I think we wont go under 350, under 100 is impossible with current engagement
I know what you mean man. I reckon crypto will take another hard dip though, with alts who knows how low we could go.
what did they mean by this?
sheeeeeeeeeeeit
Wait you gotta be politically correct to use lbry? wtf is he going to censor us?
Im pretty sure they still won't cencor that kind of content, its just "not appropiate"
So this is why LBRY has been crashing twitter.com
It means that they will censor your content. They made it loud and clear.
So they wont/cant ban you for Zig Forums content?
It's crashing because people won't buy something that has rocketed recently. little dip and price will almost double in following month. mark my words this time.
read the last line
But the people running the operation are telling people what content to post and telling people to go away if they post certain content.
As a content creator, if you know that the owner of a platform is hostile to you because of your content and wants you to go away. That is no what what we are looking for.
The whole point of alt tech is to get away from leftist censorship.
Its not a good look.
Why should I believe them? They posted the gay flag. They seek to censor. Your content will get censored unless it's leftwing licking bullshit. Crypto is supposed to be pro freedom of speech and I wouldn't support any team that seeks to regulate content, period. I hope this project dies.
Exactly. Pull your money out of this horsecrap. Fuck them.
who cares if they don't like you?
they still have to serve you just like everyone else, otherwise their reputation as "content freedom" is at stake.
waah gay flag they seek censor
rip your bitchute buttcoins
It looks bad, it means that the customers do not trust the owners. Potentially for good reason.
Dont be naieve. Bait and switch. We want to get away from censorship and regulation. Gtfo of this shit bro
pffft the faggot cannot virtue signal properly.
Isn't LBRY supposed to be decentralized and censorship-proof? What's the point if admins can remove content?
You're a little bitch if you support this crap. Pull your money out and take the loss.
Terrible advice. Inertia is king. If enough people start using a pro-censorship platform like LBRY then when they start cracking down on content it will be harder to move to a pro-speech platform. Look at youtube. Despite the fact that they are extremely censorious people still need to create alt accounts and go back in to try and direct users to their alternative websites like bitchute.
how about you tell us when you get "banned" from decentralized platform for posting something incorrect.
I'll be waiting.
they can only stop content appearing in the app/website, not remove it
I wonder if you guys are waiting to buy at low prices or if you are retards.
Right. So nobody using the website which is how 99.99% of users reach content can see it. Not much of an improvement over putting your videos somewhere else where most people can't also see them. Its sad to see how quickly these projects turn into communist echo chambers.
For sure, the first time this platform censors something for being politically incorrect, it is toast.
This is the position I am in.
1. This genuinely concerns me and makes me question how much I want to invest in this project.
2. If everything is actually ok, this is good FUD that can be used to push the price lower than 100 sats, a place I would prefer to buy in (Though as stated in 1., I am less sure about this platform now).
>how about you tell us when you get "banned" from decentralized platform for posting something incorrect.
So this is exactly like youtube putting content in quarantine mode, no wait, its worse because you cannot even access the content via the site, you have to build an alternative interface.
you guys are free to go and ask developers on the discord right now how the censor is.
but you wont, because you guys are buncha salty pussies not trusting anything.
I like that cat.
I unironically support them signaling against NatSoc messaging while still not censoring content. It will actually allow the platform to grow, rather than turning it into another gab debacle
Pander to Communists fine............. But can we expect this levels of signalling against anti white sjws etc? Or is it just one way, like everywhere else.
You don't think people will install the apps? I guess they could block stuff on mobile, but people that want to support the network will be using the actual application
irrelevant if it gets big and stays decentralized. How much did Matt Fury's bitching and whining change the future of his beloved Pepe?
>while still not censoring content
They put the videos on quarantine where 99.9% of users will never see them. Just like youtube. Same shit.
no, youtube outright bans people and demonitizes them. Look at how many people Nick Fuentes brought over to DLive. If the content is good and it isn't outright removed, people will find it.
They control what's displayed on the app used by 99.9% of users. Putting content you don't like under quarantine is no different than censorship.
I agree to some extent, but it's still different than banning. Also, it's open source, so with Android, someone will make the "uncensored" version that can be sideloaded. The only reason we don't have everyone hosting their own content with an app that links them together through a video protocol is because of the prohibitive cost of hosting storage/bandwidth
>If the content is good and it isn't outright removed, people will find it.
But it is removed, there is no way to access the content through their app or their website. You need to create your own app or website and have your viewers access the content through there. From the end-user's perspective it is no different than you just moving from youtube to bitchute.
How are they going to remove it from the app and maintain "censorship resistant" as part of their mantra?
>someone will make the "uncensored" version that can be sideloaded.
Then you lost and the project is worthless. Censored youtube creators get 10-25% the amount of audience in alternative platforms. This is no different.
The app is just an interface to the blockchain. The video is not listed in the app, you can't access the video even if you know the video id. That's how they comply with DMCA takedowns.
While I agree that it's not good or acceptable, it is still a bit different than that. The problem with switching to BitChute full time is that you lose the vast amount of tutorials, etc that YouTube has to offer. If you can still access everything else while accessing the "censored" content then that's better than what we have now. Also, someone could just start LBRYuncensored.tv or some shit like that and still tap into all of the other videos.
>maintain "censorship resistant" as part of their mantra?
That's just a marketing spiel to make you give them your content and your money. Its empty words. All these Bay Area faggots are the same. They rope in the fringe content creators and when the audience grows enough that normies start coming in they kick the fringe creators out.
Ah yea, I was wondering what they were going to do once stuff started getting pirated to the blockchain
nice proof
>All these Bay Area faggots are the same. They rope in the fringe content creators and when the audience grows enough that normies start coming in they kick the fringe creators out.
I agree 100%. It's only a matter of time before this happens with DLive
The only solution to this problem is legislation. That content can only be taken down by court order or at least a good faith assessment that it violates the law that can be appealed to the courts. Anything else is playing musical chairs with censors and you'll always lose.
If only I could believe that was possible...
That said, I'll certainly vote for anyone that does.
They fucking said on twitter that's what they do you moron. They de-list unsavory videos from their fronted which is the one 99.9% of users use. Its how they deal with DMCA takedowns.
