>Over the last two months unemployment in the United States has risen to levels not seen since the Great Depression. However, US billionaires got even richer during the same period of coronavirus pandemic.
>A new report by Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) and the Institute for Policy Studies showed their fortunes soared by $434 billion or 15 percent during the nation’s lockdown between mid-March and mid-May. The billionaires’ combined net worth rose from $2.948 trillion to $3.382 trillion.
>The top five US billionaires—Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison—saw their wealth grow by a total of $75.5 billion, or 19 percent. Together they captured 21 percent of the total wealth growth of all 600-plus billionaires in the last two months.
they earned it because they went out and CREATED while everyone else sat around watching netflix 24 hours day, how else do you think they became biollionaires? They EARNED it through hard work

Progressive activists are the shock troops of the ruling class
Marx predicted that the natural corollary of entirely unregulated markets would be big corporations swallowing smaller ones in their quest for capital accumulation and satisfying shareholders, while the upper bourgeois state helps them by shafting any competitors
seriously i dont care about your stem degree bs chip on your shoulder. Learn to analyse texts and take what's good about them and leave the trash behind. Marx politically was wrong but his analysis of how capitalism would evolve is spot on.
I really haven't made a position on rich people here, just that you're a fucking retard if you measured from the bottom of the dip to now and frame it as "their wealth skyrockets!" Equities have recovered. Wow, this is groundbreaking stuff guys no one else noticed. You are brilliant I wish people like you were running the economy.

When capitalists say capitalism, they talk from the perspective where the private ownership of capital is justice and where state action is anti-capitalistic When communists say capitalism, they talk from the perspective where private ownership of capital is theft and does not constitute true ownership. for them, the framework of capitalism is the rise to power of a certain class, not an ethical theory. as such, the in-fighting of that class and the centralisation of power within the hands of a fewer number of them can be seen as a natural development of capitalism in a way that is entirely incomprehensible when capitalism is defined as a theory of justice inversely, communists will always be unable to understand why those in favour of capitalism appear to be against state affiliation with big business on principle, since communists understand the state as necessary for the creation and propagation of the unjust rule of capital. they're ultimately talking about different things and then getting angry when they disagree

"It was so simple guys. All we had to do was label every single death as coronavirus, then take a few videos of sick people and put them on CNN, and the fucking peasants actually fell for it..."
>since communists understand the state as necessary for the creation and propagation of the unjust rule of capital. the state ruled by bourgeois politicians guarentees bourgeois interests you bourgeois puppet
