To make a quick gain? No, probably, at some point soon everyone will relax and the price will come back down, not fully but it probably will. For the long term? Personally I say yes, for staking.
But I have no fucking idea how much a coin will make you stake. But anyway, when it stakes, if the reward is not enough for you because you don't own enough, the price will have increased anyway.
Anyway don't believe the scam boys about this one. They are late and everything, but super solid. the problem with the plasma approach is that there are certain time critical periods where the sidechain owner can potentially steal your funds if you are not online at that point to dispute the claim cryptographically.
Then, there are now zk-rollups and optimistic rollups on ethereum. they are still a bit more expensive on the gas side, but pretty much allow for everything the plasma sidechains would have been capable of without the closing problems.
