Because communism/socialism has been geared to cater specifically to non-whites. "Free" healthcare/college etc, will be given to every brown person on earth at the expense of whites. It's the same story every time, more concessions to the black/brown people and whites get nothing. "Socialism" in the modern world is a capitalist scheme to increase debt and control populations through demographics and identity politics.

But now you're at the mercy of corporations who are more anti white than your government. Why would it matter what the ideology was geared towards in the past if you have an ethnostate that caters exclusively to whites?

That's correct. The US is the worst thing that has ever happened to whites. There is no point in arguing about it anymore, the government, corporations and elites will do whatever they want and nobody will stop them. Well, they really don't.
Capitalism and communism are portrayed as opposite ends of the economic plane, like the whole spectrum of possible opinions lies in between them. This false dichotomy, coupled with anti-bolshevik sentiments, leads many normie RWers to identify as "capitalist."
As far as serious "white nationalists" (who wouldn't identify as such), they tend to be anti-capitalist from the perspective of the 3rd Position. I.e., they reject communism and capitalism as "materialist" systems and take a much more idealistic, pragmatic, and dynamic approach to economics.
