Who even sends a cover letter? I remember doing my engineering degree, I had to take a technical writing class. I thought it would be like teaching how to explain technical processes or concepts to others (memos to a boss, etc). Instead it was just a Boomer “how to write a resume, make sure you send a cover letter” class. It was so outdated it wasn’t even funny.

For all the haters, LinkedIn has allowed me to get a second offer so I could make more money at my job. I went from 60k to 100k by presenting the other offer. LinkedIn has done more for me than any other service on the internet in that regard.
