My parents. Grew up in a country/period when university was subsidized by gov and paid almost nothing to attend. Rode the tailwinds of the biggest economic boom in the history of our planet. Bought a 4 bed house in the 90s for 125k which is now worth 2.4m.
Kids now. 60k per year tuition for university. 35% underemployment for under 25yos. 1 bedroom apartment starts at 600k.
