They were put on a vent unnecessarily. I know someone who was offered to be put on a vent and she refused, remained on oxygen therapy and eventually got better. Had they placed her on the vent who knows if she would have made it. Who knows how many lives could have been saved had they remained on oxygen therapy rather than being placed on a vent. Many doctors were pressured by hospitals because of the financial incentives
