What is the best country to live in (inside EU) for those with capital gains? My portfolio is worth ~0.8M euro (index funds) and I'll be above 1M when I sell my apartment in Denmark.
I was thinking about Estonia since the tax is ~20%. I just want to set up residence in the country and then travel.
>doesnt move to malta >pays 20% instead of 5% childless retard who never made it
Jeremiah Nelson
Yea but you have to be around shitskins on Malta If I was running an e-business I'd definitely do that though
Carter Reyes
swtizerland is not in the EU you dumbfuck mutt and is also worse than many EU countries for taxes unless you make yearly several millions
fucking kids
Angel Cook
Didn’t you say you weren’t going to live there?
Jason Roberts
>move to malta for 6 months >sell then rebuy your funds >income not remmitted to the country is taxed @ 0% >move wherever with your taxed gains
Christopher Gutierrez
5% is for crypto/igaming companies only. but the key is income you earn that you don't remit to the island. that's taxed at 0%.
Nathaniel Diaz
Switzerland. Malta. Jersey/Guernsey. isn't it obvious?
Blake Wright
move to the hellscape of bulgaria 10% tax
Bentley Wilson
You have to be around shitskins everywhere in Europe. Sack the politicians who import them
Charles Davis
shut the fuck up your fucking faggot. i didnt say it was in the EU i just suggested it due to proximity you fucking loser. WOW! hes so smart! he knew switzerland wasn't in the EU! gold star and no bib for dinner tonight as long as you dont shit in your diaper again

how about reading OP you retarded poorfag? >What is the best country to live in (inside EU) >inside EU >EU flag as picture
why are you poorfags also so fucking stupid?
Thomas Gonzalez
I really fail to see your point, I guess your just being an edgelord.
If you simply just want to setup residence to travel, may I suggest gibraltar.
Yes, it is a shithole, but you could register a corp there for 10% corp tax, and then just live in spain. There are lots of wealth management companies there that can help you with setting up domiciliary address, and then you could have a property brought outright under the umbrella of the company.
Rural spain around that area is really nice and cheap, and if you just want to travel, well, go up by granada and then your close to an airport, or in the mountains by malaga and its an even better international airport.
James Ross
Malta I think. For crypto gains Germany and Portugal I good I heard, but dyor. A d of course avoid France at all coast
Thomas Cooper
Just wanted to make this thread. Except where do I move if I make money off of online business and want to live cheaply while it gets off the ground? Where and why?
for free movement and taxation purposes switzerland is essentially eu, no? can you not just move there and become a tax resident as an eu citizen?
Kayden Turner
>move to Malta I thought buying a flat there was hyperexpensive, no?
Grayson Adams
of course you can... you can also become resident of nicaragua... is it because of that basically the same as the EU? also, tax benefits in switzerland are only relevant for high net worth income people... you get taxed on your wealth with a flat tax instead of solely income like other countries do.
Sebastian Edwards
Have a look at belgium OP. Strange that no one mentioned it
Leo Jenkins
lichenstein shitskin free low population tax ridiculously low
William Cox
>since the tax is ~20% which tax exactly? teach me, OP I've got 500k in cash and dunno what to do with it
Thomas Ross
living expenses is a different story though
Joseph Reyes
Jersey and gurnsey arent really worth it anymore t.worked in asset management offshore prior. legislation came in around 10 years ago that saw loads of companies migrate to other jurisdictions such as turks and caicos, delaware etc.
Alexander Kelly
what is good about it exactly?
Grayson Peterson
i mean you can become a resident anywhere, but there are conditions. in malta the chinese rent homes for 5 years and spend hundreds of thousands of euros before they become tax residents. if there are no additional requirements in switzerland for OP, he can just move and pay taxes there, then yes it's basically the same as the eu
For tax purposes either Gibraltar (remains with Schengen), Portugal or Netherlands. Weather and quality of life (good food, friendly people, nice parties) either southern Italy, southern Spain, Cyprus or some cool Greek island
