What's his goal, why does need so much money

Sorry, if this isn't the place to post it. I know nothing about Zig Forums, and can't really make out his intentions from the articles I read. Does anyone here know why he need money so badly? even though he's the richest guy on earth.

useless consoom shit that doesnt make humanity progress
were running out of time and we need to find out ways how to fucking gtfo from this dying planet

>need
because hes a winner and $ is the measure of winning
>and hes winning

Yes, he's already a winner. So why does need more $?

Based & true

i dont understand, why not make more since he can do it with such ease?
>wouldnt you?

It's probably the hedonic treadmill mentality, his money and success are never enough. Rinse and repeat, you get deep enough into the cycle you can't see your way out. Make up rationalisations asking the way as to why is okay, etc.

>he's already a winner. So why does need more $?
why would he stop?

Maybe I don't understand it, every other Billionaire tones down or pretends to tone down after reaching the top. Bezos seems so artificial, he doesn't even bother to pretend. In one of his interviews, he mentions about his goal being "to monopolize every product". Maybe it's just that. Because of stature, I was expecting something more sophisticated. I do admire his will to reach it, though.

He prob reads ayn rand

It's a game to him at this point, he just wants to get a higher score.

You do know he also has his own rocket company, right? They're just much more secretive than SpaceX

its way shittier than spacex even though it could be better funded if bezos wanted it to be. also OP said inb4 muh blue origin.

More money good.

I thought Ayn Rand was a socialist or a communist?

>said inb4 muh blue origin
He also called it "consoom shit" on par with Twitch. I don't think that's a fair comparison.

hes not worth shit. his stock could tank tmrw. he divorced his wife so he could liquidate half without scaring the market.

It's not like he's purposely gathering money, he just owns shares in a very popular company and people are willing to pay a lot for those shares. Those same shares can very easily take a nosedive tomorrow and he will be far poorer. He does have a few projects though, he sells a couple of billion every year for his space project and other projects like that clock under the mountain project.

Meh, I don't really care.

Do rich people just stop working and retire forever (no)?
Would you? Yes, for maybe a few months (benders, expensive watches/cars/vacations, parties, etc.).

Back to work.

I'm not saying he should stop working. I'm talking about his unquenchable thirst for profits.

They are workaholics.

He cashes out $1B+ a year. There is literally a bank account with his name on it and billions in cash.

>I'm not saying he should stop working.
Are you European? How about no fuckface.
>I'm talking about his unquenchable thirst for profits.
He keeps winning (Michael Jordan) and you are..

>his unquenchable thirst for profits.
Is he though? Amazon isn't all that profitable, especially for its size and influence, and I think his actual salary is "only" $2 million a year. The money from the shares he sells every year goes to his space program.

He's a typical boomer. No greater aspirations, just a workaholic who thinks he is 'bootstrapping' like everyone should, only cares about endlessly pursuing money.

There's lots of different perspectives out there. I really struggled with realizing that other people could be wired differently than me when I was younger. Maybe he just enjoys chasing more and more money and would be unhappy if he stopped.

>only cares about endlessly pursuing money.
>I really struggled with realizing that other people could be wired differently than me when I was younger.
You would understand if you ever get to > 3-5 mil networth.
You:
Might stop working for a few months (probably < 6 months). Have some wild parties, buy expensive watches, cars, boats etc.
But you eventually revert to the mean of what got you there. Winning in business, etc.
You probably are not a winner given the responses.

Poor people's thinking (don't have money for all they need):
> I want enough money to have freedom to buy whatever i need.

Wealthy people's thinking (don't have money for all they want):
> I want enough money to have freedom to buy whatever i want.

Very wealthy people's thinking (don't have enough money to be the best):
> I want enough money to be wealthiest among my wealthy peers.

Extremely wealthy people's thinking (don't have enough power):
> I want enough money to give me power to shape the planet however i want.
