1st rule. Not your keys, not your bitcoin.

If you have any intention whatsoever on holding bitcoin long term, you NEED to pull your bitcoin off the exchanges, because if the exchange exit scams or says "oh we got hacked everyone's bitcoin is gone" because people are withdrawing more bitcoin than the exchange physically has because the exchange didn't buy as much bitcoin immediately because they're betting on the price of btc to go down then buying it with your money, THEN you will lose all the money and bitcoin on that exchange.

There are multiple ways to do this, I will give you the one I recommend.
Setup your BIP39 Mnemonic and passphrase and generate addresses OFFLINE ON SAFE BOOT, do not have any form of your private key written or stored ANYWHERE, then keep your mnemonics and passphrase safe with redundant backups OFFLINE or IN PHYSICAL FORM. burn the address from your list once you withdraw from it and don't use it again when you intend on selling/using your bitcoin in the future.

Right now there is more bitcoin in circulation than actually exists, just like a bank won't stop selling you gold just because they don't have actual gold in the vault. They're betting on you not withdrawing the gold, just like exchanges are betting on you not withdrawing your bitcoin. I'm going to go eat dinner.
