It depends on your life situation and how crucial that 30k is to you.
If for instance you were in medical school and doing well in it, you already have a secure future. Don't rock the boat. Don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose. If your itching to go in, then maybe go in with a portion. It's extremely important to be able to hold until the time is right. It's alot easier to do this when you have other things going on in your life. Diversify your shit.

I actually just graduated from medical school and will be starting residency next month. Wouldn't having a secure future lead to the opposite conclusion though? i.e. I know I'll be making good money as a doctor soon, so I can afford to "gamble" some money right now.
