/XMR/ Monero General

Sup Monero senpai. Feeling comfy? How does it feel knowing Monero is the most fungible cryptocurrency?
If you haven't yet, make sure to update your GUI and CLI wallets to v0.16 to get the innovative new Dandelion ++ update, which helps protect your node from being spotted by botnets.

cvck

It's pretty fuckin comfy.

The darknet incubated bitcoin. XMR will be born soon.

I'm curious what other anons think about how legislative prohibition would play out. I, for one, think that the first time a world government implements a ban on XMR it will bring a surge of interest, new buy ins and real world implementation.

>ban on XMR
Banning XMR is futile. Just look at the war on drugs.

If it's illegal it will Streisand effect itself to the number one spot

- On chain transaction volume continues to increase. since blocksizes aren't capped this means more xmr demand to pay for these txns and more miner incentive
- Cex volumes continue to be higher than everything 2017/2018 except the absolute apex of the bullrun
- Dynamic block reward means the point of inflection where new supply is outstripped by demand won't be known until it's here, making the upward price pressure much more violent than similar halvening supply squeezes on btc
- Visible transaction volume on localmonero continues to climb, meaning people understand the value proposition (completely self soverign private value storage/transfer)
- Continued examples of white hat use of chain-analysis (ex wallet activity articles etc.) unable to monitor XMRs chain reinforces its long term viability

The next 12 months or so are shaping up to be bullish. External economic factors can always crash things, but if we just get a few of those months with no global pandemic or riots and the tech behind XMR keeps performing as it has until now, we're going straight to the moon.

Any attempt to ban XMR would only prove that governments are helpless against it.

based meme user, can you make an edit of the cardano meme image with fluffy pony instead, and instead of it saying “if only you know how bad things are”, replace the word bad with comfy?
Tari labs will be releasing a framework white paper for exchanges and vendors about regulation and monero. Keep a look out for it, as they are apparently collaborating with a legal team.
I think regulation will always be a concern but it’s not like you can just ban monero. All governments move at different paces and certain governments will be safe havens even if a worldwide ban would occur. Plus it would be very bullish about the effectiveness of monero if major companies starting fighting against it.

>can you make an edit
only if you pay him in XMR user

The coin were the greatest cypherpunks left in the crypto game hold the bags, I love it.

lol I'll have to make it myself then

Amazing take

Reminder that low-info Bitcoin bandwagoners mistakenly believe that their coin is actually Monero. For example, on the first page of the Bitcoin plebbit right now:
reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/gupvps/battle_of_privacy_bitcoin_may_be_superior_to/
>No doubt about it. Bitcoin has been developed with privacy in mind. Copies and altcoins will lack the high security, anonimity or "true" decentralization by reason of compensation/alteration in order to perform.
reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/gufonj/whos_this/
>It saves us from supply side manipulation.
>And confiscation. And surveillance.
No one tell them, I'm still stacking.

Can you post the original Carano image?

Agreed

I can't find it but it is basically this meme: google.com/search?q=if only you knew how bad things were&client=ubuntu&hs=ogc&channel=fs&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwido9iC5OHpAhWBhHIEHWcZAB0Q_AUoAXoECAsQAw&biw=1853&bih=951

Very informed post.
