You have to grab life by the balls, work hard, take risks and use the brains that you have to make smart decisions.
Ofcourse there is more to it, like being skeptical, greedy, greedy for learning and having selfcontroll and being able to move rationally in the moments of need(with stocks or coins for instance), but in the end taking responsibility is what is gonna turn lifes around/
