Also, my sister makes 150k/year for counting pills. The biggest part is checking that some old geezer didn't get prescribed two different medications that don't mix and will kill the person. So I guess that might be a little stressful and require continued learning, but other than that Doctor's have to know and do a lot more.

I've worked with both, a doctors job entails A LOT more.

Helping 0people is a fucking meme. It's a liberal fantasy that certain jobs are about helping people. Every fucking job is helping someone. The guy that works on bridges or the factory worker than makes syringes that a doctor gives you medicine. Every job helps out lives in some way.

It’s almost as though all of that knowledge could be collected, centralized and distributed. Perhaps someone should invent a communication system that allows all that information to be distributed and shared somehow.

All you do is take a piece of paper from a real doctor and put pills in a bottle and hand it to the customer. Could be easily replaced by a pill dispenser kiosk.

Kek you wish son, no way this job gets automated in the next 20 years. Drs asking me for my medical advice. Qt nurses asking for my medical expertise. I straight change med orders and add labs all the time and just say I talked to docs they trust me so much. Get to work in a team environment and see cool shit.

Our job entails a lot more than just "counting pills". That's like saying all a doctor does is touch your balls while asking you to cough. You guys have no idea how irresponsible prescribers can be with the scripts they shit out. I spend most of my time on the phone with doctors offices trying to correct their fuckups.

That said, no fucking way I "deserve" as much respect as an MD. I may know more about drugs, but they have a much wider breadth of knowledge, have to put up with more shit, have much more debt, have longer schooling when you factor in residency (aka modern indentured servitude) etc

Fuck psychiatrists though. They're all a bunch of jewish quacks leaving people worse off than when they first started

AI would replace this job in the next 10 years, AI is already being used to aide drug discovery and a drug database of every single drug and its interaction with other drugs will be better and not make mistakes than one a pharamcist.
