If the DXDAO devs actually make something that generates revenue (allegedly they have a bunch of stuff already made they just gotta polish them), 90% goes back into the dao, 10% goes into the dxd pool. If the pool goes beyond what people put into the DAO, selling DXD tokens (directly to the smart contract) will actually give you more money than you'd spend buying them. This pumps the price further and actually pays investors. On top of that there's the speculative layer.
Honestly it's a bit of a scam, but it's more tech oriented than anything else posted here in the recent past.
Also it made me watch high school dxd and I genuinely enjoyed it.
