Tether for one, cashing out into stablecoins is one of the reasons this market garners so much attention: they provide stability, ergo literally anybody that has a vested interest in this market staying afloat will be against a stablecoin ban. It has nothing to do with whether governments adopt them you brainlet. You seen to think they’ll just put their foot down one day and ban all stablecoins and implement their own because reasons, but the amount of regulations that would have to be implemented alongside scrutiny from other governments in case the money is misused due to laundering or whatever means that regulations become an exact science for governments since they have to get it right. Much lower risk to keep it third party, and it doesn’t undermine the purchasing power of the local currency either. No point creating a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
