if you want REITs, look into Canadian REITs like H&R, RioCan, or CHP. Retail businesses in Canada have been getting wage and rent subsidies since April, never mind interest-free loans until 2022. It's a wonder why it took so long for it to start mooning up, up to you to look into the risks yourself obviously. if anything, I'd argue the risk is mainly because these REITs diversified into US too
