Welcome to XMR General, dedicated to daily discussion of the world's leading privacy-coin!
Because Monero is secure, low-fee, and borderless, people can easily send money despite corrupt and broken governments or banks. This provides economic empowerment of individuals in oppressive countries or depressed economies.
Private financial history protects consumers and companies from price manipulation, supply chain exploitation, economic discrimination, or the like. Monero is the only cryptocurrency that has the features to serve as completely fungible, decentralized, electronic cash.
If you're new, feel free to ask any questions you like and a Monero Chad will be with you shortly.
*pssssttttttttt* hey user, do you wanna get in on the real monero?
0xMonero is mineable and compatible with all Ethereum based exchanges, wallets, and Dapps. We are currently developing second layer privacy solutions for 0xMR. We will mint a non-mineable first layer privacy version of 0xMR (zkERC20 standard) for those requiring additional security (this token may not be fully compatible with all exchanges and will not replace 0xMR). A smart contract will enable swaps between 0xMR and the zkERC20 token.
Token Specifications: - No premine - No ICO - No Masternodes - No Founders Reward - 18,400,000 token cap - Difficulty Readjustment every 1024 Blocks - Block Halving - 10 Minute Blocktime - GPU & CPU Mineable - Deployed on the Ethereum mainnet 4-18-2020
I'm setting up a full node on my VPS rn, glad to be doing part for us Monero chads

Monero will soon be replaced by GHOST. Once GHOST starts gaining traction, most of Monero users will switch to it because of better marketing and features.

New Anons, note the influx of those shilling coins that aren't Monero in our threads. We have one of the most active communities and legitimate projects in crypto, and they'd like you to buy their bags. Don't fall for vaporware.

With Chainalysis product’s support, cryptocurrency businesses are now able to incorporate Dash and Zcash into their compliance programmes."
>because of better marketing and features. Agree dear ,, how monero can even compete with powerful marketing?

Polish that turd, boys. You can market a piece of shit all day, but when the sun sets you're still giving your money to a (gloriously funny) crackhead.
Monero is already the currency of choice for anyone who values their privacy. Ghost ain't changing that. Neither did Verge, if you're old enough to remember John's trial run at fleecing the gullible.
I concur, based.
Just set up a dedicated mining rig with a Ryzen 3950X. Comfy AF over here.
I don't think these are true representations of the Monero community. A lot of this type of behavior might show up on internet forums but I don't think the true collective community really cares about price.
John Edwards
That behavior doesn't show up in XMR General threads, and it isn't in our telegram either.
Most XMR enthusiasts believe the coin to be undervalued and hold some as an investment. Our principle interest, though, is what the technology has to offer society. Monero is a way to promote individual liberty and privacy in an increasingly surveilled world.

>its monero on ethereum no its not, its a copy paste of 0xBTC code with the monero name slapped on top. It has no ring sigs, no bullet proofs, no dandelion++, no asic resistant mining, no smooth emissions, no Elliptic curves, no spend key priv key combo. It is nothing but a code fork of a failed token on a bloated network bogged down by chinese pyramid schemes, if you think its ever going to go anywhere your sadly mistaken
