"Sentinel is in the process of completing its formalization to move form an anonymous to a transparent structure with a foundation incorporated in switzerland
Sentinel team is onboarding institutional support and will be transitioning to it's cosmos mainnet only after the formalization procedure is completed"
Their project "working" means nothing. There's no demand for it, so why would the token pump
Lucas Johnson
Now even Swiss Crypto Bankers are seeing the power of SENT and are accumulating.
$10m mcap in no time. We should see 50 sats in the next few weeks. Crypto Valley VCs will be buying up millions once they work out the intrinsic value of this network.
This is the first opportunity in your life to front-run VCs and Investment bankers guys. DO NOT MISS OUT.
after the IOS app is launched the new V3 desktop client will be launched adding an improved UI any many features needed for main net transition and wireguard implementation
Holy shit it's actually happening. Finally! I've waited since 2018 ICO for this. Let's go!
Matthew Campbell
the token will be used for staking (same as cosmos or tezos) when main net launches , it will also have secondary utility tied to the dvpn app and it will also allow governance of the chain.
Samuel Mitchell
Op is actually posting some good info about his bag, im interested in sent progress keep it up, you might even convince me to buy if sent team manages to deliver all of what they promised
Dominic Morgan
IOS app will be coming out next, so people will see once again that sent team delivers
demand in crypto is mostly based on marketing only with 99% of projects having nothing to show, having a working product puts sent in a different category of tokens. for too long crypto has been about hyping stuff that gets no users
Jose Bell
Nice Other then defi, most other crypto valuations are absolutely non realistic, just look at prediction markets they have an absurdly high mcap with at best 100 weekly users
Jackson Foster
Brainlet here, so with this "stacking" means that i will have a passive income if i hold Sent, just like Neo does?
Chase Young
here is the new v3 desktop UI
sentinel is the only non gambling non defi dapp to get a userbase, more then 60k people use sentinel each week
yeah thats exactly how it will work, SENT will probably offer a higher interest rate then cosmos or tezos ( prob higher then 10%) on top of that there will be secondary methods of value accrual.
one of the most interesting things that will be possible with staking is allowing people to stake sent and use the earned interest to pay for the dvpn. "stake 500$ worth of sent and browse with dvpn for "free" forever thanks to the interest gain"
Lincoln Thompson
Well that's good then? What VPNs actually work on here?
Landon Foster
I just tried it, some nodes work and some dont
Blake Parker
sentinel enterprise private nets , will allow people to buy a fixed ip that you can only use, so it might make Zig Forums use with more likely
Josiah Turner
to me whats more interesting is the ability to rent residential IPs
Mason Adams
Sentinel is not LGBT approved
Jace Hall
Explain the staking. Where is the interest on staking coming from. The supply doesn't change, so where does the extra sent come from.
Zachary Evans
thats the main selling point, being able to unlock the massive amounts of unused bandwidth globally, and allow users in countryies that are under surveillance to get residential ips and not have to pass through data centers that will get blocked for example: chinese government will never be able to blacklist all residential nodes, also if you check statistics on where people are downloading the most sentinel mobile app, you can see its happening in places where there are internet bans like iran and saudi.
on main net the supply will change, people will stake their SENT and get block rewards in exchange like cosmos or tezos, on top of that they will get fees from service usage.
Brody Johnson
Thanks. I've been following the SENT project for awhile now. They have constantly delivered and are updating the network. I'm excited for the future of SENT.
Most of these block chain projects have raised massive amounts of money off of road maps and promises. SENT has a actual working project with a real world use case.
I think people have been voluntarily or naively give up a lot of their privacy and data. The pendulum will swing the other way once people realize how important privacy and data is. This will allow network like SENT to flourish.
Jordan Richardson
sentinel will uberize the bandwidth market unlocking billions of untapped money that is in the not being deployed by consumers, allowing people to protect their privacy and get payed to help others to do the same. State actors need systems like tor to compete and operate efficiently, any high level private actor as well. Tor was developed to give such a system to allied state actors. The nature of the system would also create incentives for enemy actors to participate. Hosting nodes themselves. Making the system more robust. More security was needed, so system was open sourced. Agents larped as devs and pushed tor culture in red, black and white communities under ideological pretense. Money is far from the only incentive. ideological identity complexes are much stronger than money as incentive, they'll compel men to die for sovereigns. They tie nation states and religious authorities together. Tor's biggest expansion was under ideological pushes in niche dev communities.
This propagates the nodes like influenza. Its 2020, new things are abound, the internet is a complex beast, and tor does not provide all the needs for the highest level actors. That being the state. Cryptography was on the legislated munitions list not to long ago and considered a weapon, holding devs accountable for free spech (code). The relationship of devs and deep state activities, and open source work has always been close and will continue to be.
