For the first time since long i'm excited for what a project is bringing out. if Vitalik isn't going to bring ETH2.0 this year its unironically over. I also understand why Hodskinson left Ethereum now. He went and learned from the mistakes of the ETH project and built somthing better. something well researched. The project started in 2015 mind you. on the other side we have Vitaliko and his spagethi FrankenStein monster he slapped together as fast as possible. I still hold ETH. But I traded half my stack for ADA.

i came to a similiar conclusion. if eth2.0 fails or delays even more everything will shift to cardano.

I think that even if ETH2.0 is succesful, cardano will still be great and take market share. if they now deliver what they promised at the times they promised. it's over for ETH2. Charles knows this. He knows his project will make it or break it by being on time and delivering what was promised. so I do think they will deliver. The only thing I'm generally not so happy about is how the presale went for cardano. Although you could argue that ETH started an even scammier way ( half of the ETH supply was given out almost freely to vitalikos friends )

Why, yes, Cardano is classy as fuck.
There are, however, a couple of problems:
1. No one really needs yet another blockchain, literally. Vitalik's spaghetti will do.
2. There are already lots of faggots who have managed to accumulate 200k and more of ADA. This means it will never go out of cents range.
3. They got too cocky with all this greek bullshit. It became conceptually bloated.

the code is crap. 350 dependencies with useless esoteric shit like lenses, etc.
It is definitely better than fucking vitalik's amateur spaghetti (Haskell is serious shit) but nevertheless it is a crappy code too.
So, they got too cocky, even if they are incomparable better than fucking narcissistic vitalik or incompetent and unqualified sergay.

- waste of electricity - size of the chain (data) - throughput (scalability)
They have arguably solved the first two problems, at least theoretically.
