College degrees are the most expensive they've ever been while simultaneously being under valued by society. You're essentially wasting at minimum 4 years of your life while purchasing a new car's worth of debt that you'll never drive. Colleges won't teach you what you need to know to be hired, while employers will expect you to know everything in entry level positions. You'll be indoctrinated by professors, then indoctrinated again by corporations, as these institutions act as adult socialization centers. The "college experience" is vastly overrated, as it's just expensive highschool with booze and no parents. Don't forget to do an internship to supplement your education, many will not pay you since it's a "privilege" they will teach you.

College is vastly overrated, since it's pushed by clueless boomers who went when it made sense. If you really need to go, do community college first or join the military for a discount. Otherwise, do a comfy trade that pays well and will let you start a family since you're not in crippling debt.

Go national guard and get a trade. You will be way better off. You get college credits in most apprenticeships and air guard will also let you earn college credits and pay for school along with other benefits. Its worth it.
