Need help

I have no idea how the system works or where to start, I however want to get involved because cryptocurrency seems very interesting. Can someone help?

Just buy btc eth and all the shitcoins and hodl for two three years.
Literally could not be easier.

I did not understand a word of what you said, I don't know the terminology

Crypto is just one big meme.
Some day, all the scammers will run out of gullible idiots to dump their bags on.

How is it a meme? You can make money out of it

Look up how bitcoin works. Just search on youtube, there's lots of videos and it's a really interesting system

do not trade anything other than BTC when you first starting. Trading alts is tricky because they are volatile yet still following btc. Use link below to confirm your TA and to find your entry/exit price.. all the best, man :)

aftervalue.herokuapp.com

Well I don't know in what bitcoins to invest and what we look for when we choose to invest?

Buy LINK and hold. Nothing else and you win in life

Stay away from crypto OP it's a scam and you'll lose all your money. Buy stocks, good ol' american companies like GM and Ford. You can thank me later!

*Best advice you will recieve here*
Download Metamask extension for your browser. Click deposit. Buy with Wyre and your credit/debit card. You will be holding Ethereum - ticker is (ETH). Metamask will be your "wallet". This is what you will do and you WILL NOT buy any other shitcoin until you have held ETH for several months while lurking this crypto space and learning how things work. You are welcome.

What I thought you guys were shut down? No wonder I cannot access the previous link..

best serious answer.
Everything is being built on eth, OP. It's got enterprises by the balls and is the safest hold until you know a lot more about the space. Spend lots of time lurking here so you can learn to spot & avoid the scams/shitcoins.

Ok thanks guys

If you're gonna recommend on stock at least recommend good ones like Tesla, GM and ford are literally the boomer stocks and going to die if they don't change

which are the good ones?

I was meme'ing
I'm a huge tesla/elon stan, but TSLA is crazy overvalued right now
I think airlines & disney are a really good buy right now, with how much they were affected by corona

You can speculate on it, just like you can speculate on beanie babies.

>Crypto is an investment.
Non-cash flow assets are not investments, they are speculations. You buy it in the hopes that a bigger idiot will pay for more for it in the future. You can't rent it like a house, neither it pays dividends like a stock.

>I'm in it for the tech. I don't care about the price.
No you're not, quit lying you shill. And if you are, then you're a fucking idiot.
Blockchain is a very expensive way of constructing a database, it has shit-tons of disadvantages, and a couple of advantages. It's an interesting open-source tech, but it won't generate money by itself.
You wouldn't invest in a company just because they use SQL in their internal databaes, right? You'd invest in a company because they produce a product that people want to buy, how they go about implementing the backend of their sales database should not be the driving force.

> But people use it do buy stuff on the darkweb.
Congratulations, you bought yourself a very volatile assert which is exchanged as a "currency" in very niche situations.
It's not even useful as a currency, since it's too volatile for that.

>But it is a currency!
Even if that was true, then it's not an investment, you brainlet. Are you going to buy Japanese Yen, Euros, US dollars, or Swiss Francs as investments?

You shouldn't be on here till you've have enough knowledge, gone through several project, lost money in some projects, made money in some projects. You need at least 1-3 years of knowledge to find any useful info from here. Here you'll get burnt. 99% of the tokens/coins posted here plus informations given are scam

But because it is so volatile, I can learn how to sell and buy at the right time to earn money

If you want to learn about crypto start on YouTube. This place is fool of retards. Crypto is exremly profitable if you know what you are coing. And you shouldn't try to learn from on here.

yea we had issues with our university but it is all resolved for now. Did you join the mailing list? we did notify the anons about our new name/domain change

Can you send some good playlists/videos?

Of course you can, just like you can do it with any speculative asset.
Again, speculative asset. Not an investment. Which means that in the long run, you'll lose money (even if you get lucky in the beginning and make some).

It fluctuates based on pump & dump schemes (which are illegal, btw), so unless you're involved in one of those, then your ability to make money in the long run will be zero. As your luck will eventually run out, just like betting on the roulette down at your local casino.

>pump & dump schemes
what's that?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump

A type of a scam. Just look at the catalog, full of it. Anons asking you to buy something means he is selling, not because the price will pump (unless he can give a good reason or fundamentals of the project).

Just joined. Can you guys add more tickers, mate? Where are the usual shitcoins? I recalled there were zcash, dash and stellarlumens.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump
meme related or not?

this link my bad

Pump and dump schemes are so common that people just call them Barts now.
In other words, scams are so common that they are just accepted as the norm.
How is crypto not the biggest meme? It's amazing how people are still falling for this shit, specially after 2017.

So I shouldn't invest? Isn't there a alternative?

There are no quick ways of making money. If somebody tells you that there is and that you should get in on that, then they are trying to recruit you. Why would they want you in on a solid quick way a making money? You'd just be competition.

Day traders lose money against index funds, there's tons of academic papers on it.
The most solid way to invest is to buy and hold low cost index funds and bonds in tax advantageous investment accounts (check your country's laws on this) for a period of many decades. Reinvest the dividends, diversify, keep fees low, and don't sell the funds until you have enough to retire.

> But that's boring. I want money now!
Too bad kid, life is not about want you want, you have to work for it.
If you're having a thrill "investing", then you're gambling.
Investing is methodical, boring, cold, calculated, and employs strategies to estimate solid evidence-based trade-offs between risk and reward.

People are not disputing my points because they know that they are true. They are just shills that don't want to see this discussion being bumped to the top of the page.
