There's no stipulation about the same stock when it comes to day trading. If you buy something on the same day and sell it on the same day, it's a day trade. So if you bought a stock in the morning and then sold it that same morning, that would be a day trade. But if I was to buy the same stock later in the day and hold it until the next day, that would not be considered a day trade. Unless of course, I sold it the same day as when I bought it. Then I would have two day trades in one day for the same stock. All that matters for a day trade is that the stock entered your hands and left your hands on the same day. There is tax things that has to do with purchasing the same stock though. Make sure your broker is lenient about using those three day trades under 25k.

i put in $2K into TSM because my buddy convinced me well that semiconductors are the future. His portfolio is ~$100k and it's literally compromised entirely of AMD and TSMC (50:50).
The only thing I don't understand is how he is so bearish on everything else but he is holding AMD strong with a 3 year outlook. I haven't done my DD but I'd have assumed AMD was already priced in for profits like 5 years ahead. That's why I only took his advice on the TSMC portion.

TQQ/TMF 50/50 if you firmly believe the market will not crash into an unrecoverable mess, massive gains compared to anything else while being somewhat passive probably wouldn't hurt to toss in a percentage into an un-leveraged ETF but the more you put into other things the less gainz you'll make but your portfolio will look less of a massively volatile mess
The cheatmode portfolio for longterm investors that aren't index/ETF brainlets. The only stocks you will ever need to buy for your longs. Just hold forever and enjoy barely getting effected by any future recession while still doubling or tripling the S&P every year.
