Interactive Brokers does shit like this. I don't know how they provide their data, but I've compared it to other platforms and IB has had prices off by several cents at times with some of my trades not executing on IB, while executing at a better price on a different platform. There's something generally fucked with the entire retail trading industry. It has been that way especially ever since the global financial crisis. I've had suspicions that retail traders and their dismal performance has less to do with a lack of capability and more to do with a lack of possibility due to systemic rigging in the structure of the markets and how retail interacts with it. I mean after all, until the global financial crisis there were a lot of day traders. There were day trading prop firms. In the dotcom boom and bust, there were TONS of successful daytraders. Then suddenly, it becomes impossible to day trade and everyone has to go to higher time frames and all the prop firms either close up or transition to education services? Come on.
