Listen, Chainlink has historically dumped like a rock immediately after good news, so everybody expected it to dump today, but it keeps going and going. This is bad for me because I'm not done accumulating yet.
This is especially bad for you because you haven't even started. There will very likely be a rather large correction but I thought it would have happened by now. We're very unlikely to break 5 dollars, but that's getting more and more likely with each moment that we don't dump.
This is all irrelevant, though, as Chainlink is literally the basis for the future of finance. It's like being able to invest in the literal Internet. It has a massive first mover advantage and more and more people bend the knee daily.
It's going to be worth a LOT more than 5 dollars at some point in the future, so it's a good idea to maybe wait and see if you can get good value for money, but don't wait too long. Get yourself a suicide stack. We are rapidly approaching the singularity.

Get that 5k onto an exchange like normiebase or binance immediately. I would than convert small amounts over the next day into Chainlink. It's difficult to know what to tell you bro, I don't have a crystal ball. I am sure about one thing: Chainlink is no meme, it is real. I can see why you'd be reticent to buy now though considering it was 50 cents lower 24 hours ago. Do it slowly to mitigate risk.
The thing to remember though, is that the riskiest position is to not have any at all. Sure it would be frustrating to buy the local top, but in 2 years you won't give a fuck if you bought at 4.50 or at 5, you'll just be ecstatic that you bought.
If you can't see that, you're not sure enough about the project, and you'll sell early. So do lots of research, check the archives, search for Assblaster posts and other stuff. Read the fud from the past and see how little of it came true. Immerse yourself. It'll make it easier to keep buying, even at this 'high' price.
Alternatively you can gamble and wait for a dip. One IS coming, it ALWAYS dips, but the dip might be from 6 to 5, not from 5 to 4. Or it could dip right this second and keep dipping back to 4.30.
If I could time these dips so perfectly I wouldn't even be here.

If you're in the US, the quickest way is to get verified on Coinbase and link your checking or savings account (if you have one with a major bank). You can then make purchases up to $25k directly per day. I have a Wells Fargo account, and when I signed up, I used my WF credentials through a verification portal that verified my funds with Coinbase, allowing me to make the purchase. They prohibit you from withdrawing the amount until the transaction actually clears though. But at least you can buy it.
