So if the 3 Gorges Damn in China were to collapse and destroy all of their cities down river, will the stock market and crypto tank? Surely the destruction of the lives up to 600 million Chinese will do massive damage to the world economy.

There's been lots of reports of flooding in China as of recent with historical rainfall with more through the weekend and through next week. If this were to collapse this weekend, I expect lots of freakout in the stock market.

i don't know how flexible their grid is, but given how reduced industrial production is right now, 3% may not even be noticeable.

Literally over 1 meter of rain is expected over the better part of the rivers that feed into the lake behind the dam. This is going to be the ultimate stress test for the dam.
