It's all over for Chainlink

>Oracle Pools use the base cryptocurrency of the blockchain for funds/payments/stake. This means they do not require anyone to purchase of use an extra token like LINK which provides no value to either end users or the oracles themselves, but instead makes adoption needlessly more complex.
Right, because the whole world will be on this chain.

Doesn't matter. First mover always wins bigger. (but it's already p much over for big boy gains as a 40X is near the best you'll get unless holding 5+ years in this market.)

Buy Verasity.

also, what is AGNOSTIC

>First mover always wins bigger
>What is Betamax

This shit barely competes against Chainlink. If it wasn't for someone requesting a direct comparison between their pools and Chainlink, the comparison wouldn't be warranted.

In its initial iteration, it'll only support price feeds of open source data. It barely competes. Basically an improved version of Augur at best and look at what they're doing.

> Oracle pools have multiple approaches for incorporating governance (ChainLink has none).

So they are building basically trusted and permitted solution but try to obscure it.

>First mover always wins bigger.
Based
AOL are still my service provider, I still rent movies from Blockbuster and I only have a Myspace page.

I'm also typing this on a 1970's typewriter

>I'm also typing this on a 1970's typewriter
fancy, I myself use doves

Oh what a great idea
They should call it "dOracles" or something.

You misunderstand, Chainlink wasn't literally the first mover; shit like Augur and Oraclize existed long before.
And guess what, they all bend the knee to Chainlink.

>look up documentation
>ctrl+f API
>0 results

Does this even have external connectivity?
In any case, massive cringe.

Jesus Christ
The absolute state of “leadership” in the crypto space
Oracles are a winner take all solution
If I build an oracle for the price of oil using a set of apis, and you decide to copy me and make an oracle for oil, there is going to be slight variations in our prices, because we aren’t going to select the same makeup of apis
This is a problem
Can’t have to fucking versions of the same god damn asset if we want the space to flourish
I don’t know jack shit about coding and even I can see this
Fucking retards

Just read through it, this entire system can be easily implemented with Chainlink.

Whoever made this has no idea how modular Chainlink actually is.

Charles Hoskinson is a loser.

Yeah like Yahoo

Checked

Yes, just like Yahoo. Winner takes all. Amiright user

You don't even know what you're talking about
Yahoo is front end "application" that had mail, news, and search
If you're going to make these comparisons then you could say Binance is like Yahoo

They already bent the knee. The. Absolute state of fudders

no that was earlier, they are now building a better version of chainlink, from charles own mouth in his latest ama

>Oracle Poos use the base cryptocurrency of the blockchain for funds/payments/stake. This means they do not require anyone to purchase of use an extra token like LINK which provides no value to either end users or the oracles themselves, but instead makes adoption needlessly more complex.

Reading this it does seem to be superior to chainlink, but how long will it take them to build it? They are allegedly a two man team (a literal two man team, not a meme) and they are planning to build a network 10x more complex than chainlink, which so far took a team of 20 and 3 years of work.
By the time this comes out, chainlink will be so popular that it won't matter. It's like if today somebody came out and said "Hey, we have a social network that's way better than facebook, we have more features and better security". Nobody cares.

>AOL are still my service provider,
You're still connecting to your isp via a protocol defined by IEEE.
>I still rent movies from Blockbuster
You're still watching a movie with 24fps as defined by the smtpe.
>and I only have a Myspace page.
You're still using the HTML protocol to watch websites as defined by whatwg.

>I'm also typing this on a 1970's typewriter
You're still using a keyboard layout defined by ISO (if you're in the US at least)

Chainlink is infrastructure and not endproduct, faggot.

Just sold my entire stack. Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Every useless coin is now discovering oracles as a use case. Couple of years ago, they all were "ETH killers" because they got smart contract capabilities. Next year, they will all pivot to DeFi and lending.

In reality, they are all zombies that no one needs.

See

Link is dead. It plummeted because insiders knew about this

F

The no-token advantage of this dimnishes if you use it outside ADA.

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I (and the other user) pointed out the flaw in anons argument that first movers always win big. How the fuck did we misunderstand something, if your argument is that first movers (augur oraclize) bent the knee to LINK?
