Also turns out that people in the balancer discord were discussing this issue last week. Someone probably exploited it.

The price will go down for a long time. Months, if not for the foreseeable future until a v4 is airdropped and the token is on some sort of statera balancer which accepts deflationary tokens. Either balancer does this first, or some team comes along and makes a balancer which is compatible with deflationaries and we start the bullrun again.
A lot of people have being saying that from the start, that STA should have been on its own platform rather than riding the piggybank of Balancer, but now the time has changed. This exploit was very good for the future.
However, absolutely sell all your shit now. At the very minimum you will be airdropped at v4 on some sort of statera made balancer, and the drop will be your balance just before the hack. So the tokens you accumulated during this crash won't mean nothing.
Also this will take many, many months. And balancer might come up with something to fix it in the mean time. But, yeah, sell. This won't be fixed for a while.

The project is not dead at all. Basically it needs a new balancer that works with deflationary tokens. The code changes for this seem minimal if you ask me (I'm a developer).
As for the people who lost their pooled money (500k in total). That amount is so small that if the project gains traction again, they will be remunerated.
