How does a poorfag like me even get started in something like crypto and make gains?

Started with cheap AMD buys in 2015, moved most to eth in 2016, moved most to link from there. Still haven't cashed out more than a couple hundred dollarinos.

Buy Chainlink, put it in a hardware wallet, secure your seed phrases and then don't come back to Zig Forums or read about crypto for the next 3 years.

All in LINK or if you must diversify, spread across BTC/ETH/LINK.

This is the best advice you'll get here. The crypto space is consolidating. Everyone else here are third world hustlers trying to milk other poor or uninformed newfags out of their money into their illiquid pump and dump scams. Hang around here and you will get bamboozled by some larper or a shitcoin discord brigade preying on your fear of missing out.

Because it is. I’d suggest avoiding diversification with such a small amount of capital and just all in LINK. Improve your life over the next few years while you wait. But as other user said, BTC and ETH are the other two facets of the holy trinity so if you must diversify go into those. For every Uniswap 10x story, there are dozens of BTFO top buyers. Invest, don’t gamble.

look into HEX or VRA, both promising projects with real world uses and very affordable for us wagies. I have a small bag in both that I plan to keep adding onto

You will want to wagecuck until you get 10-25k initial investment.

Only with this amount will you be able to make it on a bull run.

If possible get 1 btc before starting to trade shitcoins and don't touch it because you will be able to exchange that for a house one day.

Pick your shitcoins carefully and put at least $1000 into each one that you buy. Any less and even a moon won't leave you satisfied. I recommend stuff like Nyzo, DNA, Haven, that has genuinely good tech and hasn't mooned yet.

You are like me fren, initially I invested in silver coins until the initial market drop and premiums went insane. That led me to crypto, people will call me schizo but I have been getting xrp and soon to be looking at other projects. IMO time is actually running out and I didn't really start investing until the other year. The thing is for me atleast, I started with a nest egg I can always fall back on, sure I am still waging but I have that nest egg. Once I had a comfy level of that investment, something I was sure in and was not going away I started looking elsewhere. You can gamble on robinhood or at a casino any time, the thing to remember is if you don't have much then find something that can cushion any blow you might receive in the real world, after that start branching out and finding new opportunities.
