When did you realize that the skill of sifting through Zig Forums to find actual advice is the most valuable thing to have?
The way Zig Forums operates, the 'authority factor' doesn't exist. This factor is seen in reddit's karma system, and in real life can range from status to good looks. Majority of people cannot think for themselves, so they need this authority factor as a crutch to make decisions in their life. These people are so easily manipulated because they appeal to hivemind activity, and more importantly they are blind to their own conscience.
When you can effectively differ good advice from bad, jew slayer from goy, millionaire from pajeet pruley on text alone, you can apply this skill to every aspect of life, and ultimately you realize how important listening to your own conscience really is.

This board is less of a discussion forum and more of an advertisement platform, the majority of what is being advertised is from someone with their own interests in mind. The rare exception is like when assblaster gave actual insider info to early stinky linkys willing to listen. Or more recently, when the devs of $BUIDL told this board first about their project and deployed it to uniswap with no marketing. If you haven't looked in to it, it's a beautiful gem. You won't find another like it in this early of their dev/hype cycle for another year or two. It's in my interest to tell you about it because I've been accumulating for a month and now I'm helping grow the community with people that came here to actually find new, interesting projects and aren't chasing the 24hr scam pnd train.

There are some genuinely brilliant or at least knowledgeable anons on this site and a few very good boards/generals. I've shit tested some of the guys claiming to be things I'm considered a material expert in and lots have been the real deal. I have a MAcc and am about to take the SIE to go into wealth management. This works for some things and not for others though. It works on biz because your money is at stake so it hurts when you're wrong. There's a fitness filter that ideas need to pass through which forces them to veer towards truth. Meanwhile e.g. on Zig Forums predicting trump, that had less to do with ideas tending towards truth than the reality that a presidential election is a popularity contest, and Zig Forums is good at making things popular.
The whole 'ephemeral posts creates an evolutionary environment where truth wins' meme doesn't pass scrutiny in most areas of Zig Forums though. It's because the fitness filter that ideas are usually passing through (by being considered, remembered, and reposted) is not 'is this true?' but rather 'does this make me feel good?'. This is why conspiracies abound, they make the world feel comprehensible and give the believer a feeling of being a redpilled underdog amidst a horde of NPCs. For most ideas, the average Zig Forums user has nothing to lose if their ideas happen to be false. Therefore this quality is not selected for when they go to repost material.
Again, Zig Forums is a bit different because there is money on the line, which means beliefs about which stock/crypto will moon actually have to reflect reality because there is money riding on the outcome. So I actually trust Zig Forums to pick winners much more so than I trust e.g. Zig Forums to know what it is talking about. Of course you have to sift the pajeet spam from actual discussion, but if you can do that then biztalk is the best financial advice you can get anywhere.
It's great until the mods and admins start shutting down and removing threads. Has happened many many times.

Not only did I develop this skill quickly and learn to separate my emotions/bias from raw data and information by coming here but it made me do that even moreso in other facets of my life, as you mentioned in the OP.
On top of that as I started taking short term positions in addition to my long term holdings I never touch, I began to take interest in meditation and other skills used to clear my mind and focus complete on the topic/task at hand, and remove my ego from the equation completely. Its amazing how coming here has made me a better person, when its considered the asshole of the internet by the public at large. Of course people that think this place has no value was ironically told by media("authority figures") not to come here because its a cesspool. Its the last bastion of free unadulterated data and discussion left.
I've always been good at finding reliable sources and information, but you start to develop an extra sense as well. You start to realize when people are purposely giving incomplete or outright incorrect information for their own gain too.
I no longer assume anything I hear is just wrong. I now research literally EVERYTHING no matter what. I feel great when trying to discover or decipher the "truth".
The funny thing about Zig Forums is when women come here and even though they don't mention their sex when stating their views they get told "post tits" because their written argument skills are so weak without their personal charisma you can just see the femininity through poorly thought out arguments.
They feel a great deal of discomfort realizing how much favor in the real world they get when they get to a voluntary and privilege-less environment.
Sadly, Zig Forums is not immune to this either, as more common thoughts/ideologies will tend to get more threads and even more replies. The exception to this is contrarian threads with "bait" images or phrases/ideologies. So, although not having a karma system is nice, we are not necessarily impervious. Zig Forums does not protect against samefagging, for example; nor can it effectively protect against proxy attacks.
/pol has excellent discussion as well, but searching through the noise is even harder there as they have literal DARPA bots muddying the waters of topics, glow homos, lefty pol, mods all bought off etc. Its probably 70% or more of purposely wrong information
That is what happens when you only have 2 minutes to speak and try to fit years worth of research and information into it. It just doesn't work.
That being said, everything she mentioned was more or less on point. The comments are depressing as its an echo chamber just making fun of her and saying she is dumb while circle jerking their own intellectual superiority.
We all really need to make it with Chainlink if there is going to be any hope for the country or planet in the next 10 years.
