This is a little misleading. Traditional employment measurements are for working-age adults (18-62ish), which is at most 65% of the population. 65 -> 50 is certainly a lot, historic even, but in terms of hard numbers we've always been in that ballpark.

Want some facts? Small businesses are getting inundated with fake unemployment claims all over. One company I know had 300 employee claims yet has never had more than 20 employees. Now who the fuck would be filing unemployment they have no way to claim except those that have a vested interest in seeing sky high unemployment figures?
