Their node will (presumably) fetch data from their API, but theoratically they wouldn't have to. Their node could fetch the data from another API (binance, coingecko, coin base, etc... which won't happen) and other nodes can fetch data from their API (which will probably happen)

What I was wondering was is there something specific to link in their api or not? Cause bandaid protocol or whatever could say huobi made their data available for their doracle or what not too
Leo Stewart
To add to this. Would be great if Chainlink had some api requirements in place to make apis "Chainlink compliant". You would see data providers adopting the framework and making the access to data easier for the nodes

You can help create an adapter, open up the API, help with general data integration, ...
In any case, Huobi is doing both: making its data available to CL, and running a CL node on mainnet.
