thanks fren. the heavy drinking started when i had a parent die and the other move away (they were divorced). i had about $40,000 in inheritance and wasted it all being a NEET over the course of 2 years. I'd drink every day, about half a fifth, then 3/4ths. i remember specifically a point in my life about 5 years ago when id wake up shaking but not cold and wonder wtf was going on. eventually i realized taking a few shots made me stop shaking. so thats when the morning drinking started. from there on the quantity it took for me to get drunk increased until i was at a half- gallon a day. that didn't last long though, about 3 months and i was in the hospital for pancreatitis (and acute liver disease but they never did a biopsy so i think the doc was just trying to scare me straight, liver was really swollen though)
took 3 hospital trips to detox before i finally went to rehab and accepted i had a MAJOR problem and could never drink again
