Agree to disagree here. Monero is only used as currency and has no other use cases (smart contracts, second layer etc.). Monero is slow, uses inferior privacy vs zk-SNARKs, has a complicated CLI, is inflationary, does not hide user's IP addresses... A lot of projects have already surpassed Monero in technical development. The rock that Monero maximalists stand on, the idea that you can only have privacy with first layer privacy, is just wrong. First layer privacy by default is actually a strong disadvantage.
