Born and raised in maine. One of the most unattractive states in the union. The further north you get in new england, the more you have french canadian families who haven't spread out of their hometowns for a century, making for a pretty limited (inbred) genepool. That's part of what they mean by "least diverse." Great place if you're already married but also don't expect anything fancy in the way of homes. Plus real estate here is actually insanely expensive because every rich person wants waterfront property or a house within 10 minutes of the water. And if you move further inland it's garbage rural white trash towns.

NH is a literally perfect state. Would move there but am trying to get away from cold.
