LEND and LINK is fundamentally a new paradigm for defi

Marc is definitely one of us. Stani too.

it's completely dumb, they invented trusting people lol, why do you need a blockchain for it
you could've taken out cdp in 2014 on bitshares, given that money to someone you trust, and accomplished this exact thing before Ethereum existed
this is literally one of the worst ideas ever recorded in tech history since maybe premined Ethereum
Brandon Jenkins
Is AAVE still worth getting into? it seems like it's done about a 40x so far.
Mason Taylor
You're a brainless mutant getting led around by the nose by a crypto heeb who says exactly what you want to hear. He says the words you like and you can't get enough of it. Dog!
Ayden Rivera
>you could've taken out cdp in 2014 on bitshares, given that money to someone you trust, and accomplished this exact thing before Ethereum existed
If you think it is exactly the same as bitshares you did not understand it. Try reading it again.
They are words which make me money. You are using your link as collateral to trade other tokens and make profits while still holding your linkies, aren't you user?
Nolan Cook
Probably. It depends what is in their tokenomics paper. People are expecting yield farming and staking, hence the increase. If the paper is good this will pump like comp. If not it will retrace.
Adrian Parker
Yeah, all without hoarding any AAVE. Their token is trash and Marc is a hustler.
Levi Evans
>you let traders wing other assets with your borrowing power
not sure i understand this. LINK is paying 0% interest on deposits on AAVE.
James Myers
I imagine when staking goes live there will a higher rate.
Tyler Rodriguez
nice dubs. so we are just dickriding the potential of LINK staking even more. got it.
Landon Myers
If you're reading this and you own a decent amount of link and defi projects, congrats, your future self is a millionaire, roughly 18 months from now.
Elijah Morris
Nice FUD to find a cheaper entry point user.
Because nobody fool enough to short LINK but your LINK has borrowing power, you can delegate that power to a third party paying you money and use that money to get more LINK.
this guy knows too much. DELET.
Christopher Mitchell
Basically lending LINK on AAVE will be the poor pajeet's version of staking. So if you can't afford staking on LinkPool, then lending is an option. Lending may be more profitable than whatever rewards Jewbase or Chinance offer.
Camden Long
walk me through how to use some of my link on coinbase to get more link through aave? brainlet here
Ryder Barnes
Why would I share Alpha?
Joseph Parker
Wen staking Mr user?
Jacob Foster
because u care about me getting more linkies
Justin Lopez
what is a decent amount?
Isaac Richardson
You still think they are the same. ngmi
>LINK is paying 0% interest on deposits on AAVE.
True. Interest rate is a function of deposits vs borrows. A lot of LINK is deposited in Aave and not many people are stupid enough to borrow it in order to short, so the interest rate is effectively 0.
>so we are just dickriding the potential of LINK staking even more. got it.
No he means that more people will be borrowing LINK and fewer depositing, so interest rates will rise.
Evan Young
it's exactly same as collateralized loan on bitshares that you collateralize and then give the money you take out to someone else you trust, like an idiot, which is the only type of person using centralized premined ethereum known only for overnight confiscation/censorship thanks to premine
Brody Evans
if you started buying link sub $1, or even sub $2, you probably have a decent amount. same goes if you started accumulating some of these defi projects last year.
you are very early.
Logan Davis
how's loopring and kleros?
Henry Jones
i don't really care to comment on individual defi projects. DYOR. as long as it's not a dead 2017 coin with 90% of addresses at a loss, it will probably do very well. link has always been the surest bet. hard to know for sure about the rest.
Adam Wilson
based AAVE
Marc used to be a Link sceptic lol.
After Chainlink outperformed all other oracles in the March gas crisis, he became one of Link's greatest advocates.
Gavin Scott
when/if staking comes out, interest rates will go up because depositing on AAVE will have an opportunity cost
this. linkies have been caught in a bubble, many coins are up 10-50x from the lows and people are getting rich reinvesting their profits into liquidity mining at almost 0 risk and unlimited upside. Those linkies that FOMO'd into SNX last fall got a huge jump on everyone else by familarizing themselves with DEFI before it became a meme and getting exposed to curve, bal, aave, rune, ren, etc, all this shit is what has moved up to this point and will continue to outperform the broader market as more retards silo'd on dead 2017 chains realize that they can actually earn a return on their captial without waiting for bigger retards to 'adopt' their meme coins that have no practical use. This is ICO 2.0 with over collateralized lending preventing mass dumps and recirculating capital throughout the system as price goes up.
Samuel Davis
Retard here, how do i earn interest on my aLinkies?
Grayson Wood
someone post the coin x literally who meme
Wyatt Diaz
kek everyone bends the knee eventually
You don't, yet. You use them as collateral. Figure out the rest.
>what is aave? what is defi?
The space is moving fast but there is no excuse for being this ignorant. Try to keep up.
Sebastian Bailey
For the record it pays a small decimal of percent interest. I think I have earned about 0.02 LINK so far. That's $20 in the future!
Jackson Rogers
Aave is going to $1 minimum, $2 if the markets get really crazy and the tokenomics are solid
So it still has a lot of room to grow.
