250k is a stretch. A lot of my friends make more than me, but even the ones with top notch degrees in good fields aren’t taking in that much. I’ve got a chemical engineer buddy and another who graduated ME (now works doing some shit in computer science), and neither are making more than 200. Maybe not even 150, though probably around there if anything. Most people don’t have large friend groups and the chances of everyone having a friend pulling in a quarter of a million a year working some bs coding job is pretty rare. That being said I doubt even those guys will have as much saved up. Normies love their over priced mortgages, car payments, etc. My friend from earlier gets paid substantially but also lives in a high taxed, corrupt liberal shithole with an overpriced housing market. He could be on his way to a way earlier retirement but simply doesn’t care about being fucked by the man because he makes enough to cover it, has shitty principles, and a equally shitty boomer investment ideology. So unless they’re total dorks I doubt they’re investing it properly anyway.

Your friends probably make 100k+ a year for doing 3 hours of work while spending the rest just fucking around.
