The team just announced the UI for the long awaited Blocknet litewallet. Naturally, this will be compatible with Block DX, but the most impressive part about this product is the way it's built. This litewallet leverages Blocknet's very own XRouter product - which is a decentralized blockchain router where BLOCK Service Nodes are Oracles for any type of data: blockchain and non-blockchain.
Gone are the days of running a litewallet that relies on centralized blockchain data sources such as Infura.
looks fucking sexy yo! how many nodes are running these coins? how many could be shutdown before this wallet doesnt work
Logan Clark
hundreds afaik... it'll continue to run until the very last one goes offline
Caleb Nelson
So basically Stakenet but all you have is a picture you knocked up today and DEX using atomic swaps and they have a working product.
It’s a bold move let’s see how it works out.
Christian Morris
so essentially trying to beat Stakenet to the punch but with a inferior product? like microsoft rushing out the Xbox 360 to beat the PS3, which still eventually won out anyway
Gabriel Russell
No this is not Stakenet lmao, Stakenet has no blockchain router - it's just a DEX
Adrian Ortiz
Stakenet is all-in on the LN which is a huge mistake imo but hey everyone has to learn the hard way at some point. The whole LN thing was a buzzword a lonnnnnnnng time ago when Charlie Lee still owned some LTC, the market has moved on
James Torres
>Stakenet has no blockchain router Oh, you're so cute, little buddy. It's called project Viper and they refuse to release any info about it right now.
Nice try, though.
Chase Young
Wow so they reskinned a web admin template for $49 very impressive
Austin Sanchez
>IT'S SUPER SECRET RIGHT NOW CAUSE YOU KNOW, IT'S SUPER UNIQUE!!
Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit you cuck and go back to your shitty XSN threads. Your wallet isn't using any sort of decentralized backend whatsoever, period. REEE all you want but those are facts
Leo Adams
This lmao
Leo Robinson
You having a hard day, buddy?
John Lewis
Hate to burst your bubble but Stakenet Is not just a DEX. The DEX is just a dApp hosted on the MN network and it’s the first of many. It’s entirely decentralised as is the wallet with MN’s hosting the various blockchains that you sync to from their working litewallet, not a picture. Sorry you backed the wrong horse
You do realise Stakenet’s DEX does do Atomic Swaps too right? It’s just they don’t ever talk about it because it’s old ass tech and slow as fuck but it’s there if people want to use it. They are pushing Lightning swaps instead which are essentially atomic swaps over Lightning Network which means they are settled instantly instead of having to wait 20 mins like with atomic swaps.
Austin Green
Nigga what nonsense are you using that takes 20 minutes.
Isn't LN so 3 years ago?
Hunter Phillips
Thats not what i heard... other threads spammed about have all said “they will be able to do them eventually”
20 minutes as opposed to the same amount of time to get funds into a channel...? Right.
Isaiah Hill
How long does an Atomic Swap between say BTC and LTC take to be confirmed?
If Blocknet DEX was so good why is nobody using it?
As for opening channels you do that once and that’s it after that no waiting you can just leave it open. Every time you open your wallet it takes a couple to seconds to sync back to your open channel and your back to instant trading.
to get technical since you're apparently a brainlet NEET.
BTC's block time is 10mins LTC's is 2.5mins
You can trade 0-conf so funds confirm when those are met, no big deal at all.
>opening channels
Yep and if you want to get out of the channel you have to confirm on the way out... not all people want to hold BTC in trading accounts.
>If Blocknet DEX was so good why is nobody using it? People are using it, has a shit ton more volume than XSN DEX
Nicholas Brown
The only thing XSN solves is slightly faster trading experience IF YOU'RE ALREADY IN A CHANNEL. In reality this only applies to BTC... all other chains are fast enough to where it doesn't even matter
Jace Price
Not every user will be a trader that does 500 trades a day. Other uses prefer security with on-chain swaps over lightning instant swaps. Blocknet emphasizes a lot on that the swaps are absolutely safe and that funds are SAFU
