I think another run up to next rebase.

I have ~1800 ampies. Is that enough to make it?

Depends on wider market conditions and how long you hold. 5% a day is no joke

Been at 2.65 for the whole day. We're looking at a stupid 14-15% rebase, good chance it'll pump to 3$ before it happens.

Just think about the rebase... it has been +10% everyday for a week now. Just buy.

I have my eth/ampl on the uniswap pool,do I have to remove it from there to get it to the geyser? Sorry but I'm a brainlet

Medium term I think the news about USDC is going to benefit AMPL.
The move in 2020 is going to be a move away from centralized stablecoins to decentralized
AMPL benefits because of its single-token structure. Its less opaque and simpler to conceptualize.

No, you deposit those ETH-AMPL U2 tokens into the geyser

How can I do that? At the moment it's on the uniswap pool

can i just move this into my ledger and collect rebase from there?

Make sure you understand what impermanent loss is before you stake.

Is it too late to get in? I'm ready to put in a good amount, what is the make it stack?

0.01% of the supply would be a nice amount, I wouldnt call it a make it stack though. So at this moment 5365 AMPL

Yeah 0.01% seems to be the consensus, thanks

I am making so much money thanks biz

You're all aware this is a stablecoin right? If not I'm not going to help you avoid this scam.

It is in terms of price yes, but with the hype now the supply is going to be blown up. 53million now, I expect it to at least get to 100m before any type of pull back. If reddit and others join in hell maybe even 200m.

Not sure that's the case. The protocol splits and doubles the supply, so its exponentially harder to moon the higher you go.

Will today be the day AMPL breaks into the top 100? It certainly looks like it

Can someone explain this to me like I'm retarded

It is a stablecoin in a sense that when the marketcap is so big more money will be needed exponentially to move the price, and so price will tend to go towards 1$. In nature it is still a speculative asset, just not so much based on price.

Let's say I bought 1000 AMPL at 2600$ today (current price on Uniswap) at 50M marketcap. at 500M, I will have 26000$. It could be because 1 AMPL is 1$, and I have 26000 AMPL thanks to rebases or 13000 AMPL at 2$ each. Price is irrelevant.

It's such a new concept that most people don't get it. Buy a share of the marketcap now and enjoy the compounded gains. Drop the charts.

Which is why you are correct it is a stable coin, however it needs to find its supply that will make it stable. As I’m sure you know price doesn’t matter, MC does. So people buying right now need a supply of 100m plus AT $1 to break even. Also with all the recent whale activity there is no reason this “phase” can’t go on for the entire geyser period. It will be a bit crazy once people start to pull out profits. I can see that happening at the 2month-3month geyser points.

It will be just like most pumps, it will definitely over shoot it’s mark and pull back. However it’s equilibrium approach makes me think it won’t over shoot it by much.

this.

also we are so early that we benefit this the most. this will also create fomo as people rushes to get in to get as much rebase as possible.

so what will keep it afloat when it has a 5bill MC? wouldnt the rewards be enough to keep the whales in? or keep regular people staking or holding it?

would the rewards be enough to keep the whales in?

We have no idea if the geyser will keep running (hints say it will), but take a look at Uniswap pool.

2M volume per 24 hours. 0.3% goes in fees, that's 60k dollars. Imagine holding half of that liquidity pool. 30k for doing NOTHING every single day. This has about 3000 holders. Imagine the trading volume in the high 10M.

I mean, I've seen legits projects and bubbles but holy fuck with everything going on with stablecoins and pegs this could really trump over them in like 6 months.

Adding on to that, if oracle price is between 0.96$ and 1.06$ there will be no rebase. So no more inflation or deflation. It will stay stable, but people will still use it as a collateral or stablecoin (we're talking future here).

Why do people have pools on balancer with 10m in stablecoins? Same reason, there'll be more lending platforms and interest. Your money will work for you then.

How can the marketcap increase while the price stays the same? I imagine circulation will decrease, but then you'll have the same value?!?

What's geyser?

the supply increases and decreases. so instead of USD fluctuating LINK/USD. AMPL fluctuates while USD tries to stay stable (atleast at this stage)

Supply increases. It's all compounded interest.
Go read up on the basics fren.

Geyser is a liquidity incentive to put your Uniswap pool tokens into. You get AMPL for 'staking' these pool tokens, and the longer you stake in there the bigger the drips. You also get a multiplier, so if the UI says you get 10 AMPL per month, after a month it'll be x2 that, and x3 after 2 months.

Supply increases every rebase?

It's this thing: you dump liquidity into the bottom and it all comes blasting out the top raining down criminal amounts of money all over everyone that's in. Highly recommend.
But really it's a bonus program for the uniswap liquidity pool. I get why they call it geyser, though. That motherfucker opened the floodgates.

Once the mcap is high enough it will be digital gold like bitcoin but better because of supply elasticity and liquidity.

Only if price is above $1.05, below $.95 is negative rebase
