32 here. No girlfriend, no wife. 6 figure job, house is 50 percent paid off, decent car. On my way to financial independence. few hundred thou in investments/retirement. Fleeting feeling that Im not going to find a life partner. Not even sure if I want to at this point. Not happy not sad, just kind of coasting. Watching the remnants of american society burn and my friends kids get pozzed by social media. Trying to find a younger girlfriend but it ain't easy. I was almost the same. Working as a Software engineer for big companies. Didnt hate it but I was getting bored of working on the same shit every day for months.
I started a software consultancy business earlier this year. Charging high rates which companies seem more than happy to pay. And the best part is I get to choose interesting projects to work on. It really reignited my interest in software development.
I am my own boss now so I can take as much time off as I want and work whatever hours I want.
